A Nation Without Walls

Law [n]: A code of principle based on morality, conscience, or nature.

Imagine–a nation where there are no boundaries; where one is free to do whatever they please. There are no rules, there are no restrictions, and there are no penalties. To some, this might sound like a nation of pure freedom. To not have cares or worries laid upon them. But to others, this might sound like a chance to do sinister things. I am grateful today that I am in a country, where long ago, there were boundaries, rules, restrictions, AND penalties set. I am proud to be living in the United States of America.

The United States was built on justice and integrity for all that inhabit these lands. Now answer this, what would our nation be without walls? Laws aren’t only there to prohibit us from doing certain acts, but it is also there to protect us, guide us, and even settle our differences. It gives us an unbiased nation of equality as it was promised and signed by 39 delegates in a Virginia Convention over 200 years ago. Our ancestors fought hard and long to bring the very ground that we stand on today to freedom. Once it was liberated, they had to create some sort of system to act as a rock-hard foundation to build this nation upon.

To other nations, America is the land of opportunity. There is a way of life here that is not offered in many other countries around the world. One reason behind this is the fact that every one person in this country is due unalienable rights. Unalienable rights are the divine liberties given unto man by God; they cannot be taken away, or bound. Yet in the past, they have been. The law has resolved many civil disagreements, such as the abolition of slavery, women’s rights, and even segregation. The law has even made way for the people [that’s us] to have some say on how the government runs.

Freedom of speech, religion, protest, press, assembly, expression, and even the right to remain silent, would not be possible if they were not insured and protected by the law. As Henry Ward, a clergyman and abolitionist leader in the 1800's put the argue of libery well: "Liberty is the soul’s right to breathe and, when it cannot take a long breath, it may quickly perish." Where would this nation be if one wasn’t allowed to stand up for what they think is right? Where would we be if the security of having privacy in one’s own home didn’t exist? It is a wonder that a majority of the citizens that reside in the United States do not realize the wonderful significance of these privileges. Which is why law day is a great way to celebrate and honor the liberties of the governed, and to commemorate and continue the purpose of it’s existence.

My personal interpretation of "law" in general would be the complete structure of our society given to us by the government. It is the basis of our nation’s communities and it gives us moral codes to heed and to follow. With these rules and regulations, we are granted the well sought after opportunity for life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness.

Just incase you're wondering, it is almost 2 am here, and I am up trying desperately to finish my essay for this contest. Wish me luck.

Baccalaureate

See the first time I heard this word, I didn't even know how to pronounce it. Shows how much I know..

"Baccalaureate"--Pronounced [back-coo-lor-rie-ette] Must be French.

But it was this celebration for my sister, and I just named this post that because a lot has happened in the past week.

Last Thursday was pretty much one of the greatest days of my life, and I MADE Saturday, my official day of leisure. I rewarded myself for successfully completing the AP exams. OF course, there's no party until the results come in the mail in June, but until then, I'm just going to pretend like I knew what I was doing on that test.

Cinco De Mayo

Whoops, this is actually the day AFTER Cinco de Mayo, but at least I remembered.

We didn't really do anything. I was supposed to dress up the traditional dress, but then it was banned so we didn't dress up at all.

We are having a party on Thursday :/

This girl gave me a box of cookies today. It was really random. I bet they had drugs in them or something.

103 Days until the targeted date.

I was invited to this grand ball party at the end of may. Turns out we have to dress fancy. Hmm.. I have a banquet on Saturday!

We gotta dress fancy for that too.

Nothing much to say besides the blisters and William and My split. GRR.

Soon Enough

My My, I't almost May!

You know what they say, "April showers bring May flowers"

Ok that was so random.

Summer is almost here, and I cannot wait. I can't remember whether I created this blog in June or July... I'm thinking it was July. Either way, it's amazing. The time sure does pass by so fast.

What has been going on?

Well, I have been so ocupada. [I didn't want to say busy, because that is what I ALWAYS say.]

I have had many things to do. And oddly, most of them have been durning the weekends.

SCHLITTERBAHN!

I went to there a week ago, it was the bomb. I'm telling you. I haven't been to Galveston in a LONG time. I kinda forgot what it looks like :P

It was great. Dia tried to drown me numerous times. She kept saying "Sorry!" but I don't think she meant it.

Speaking of drowing, I was going down this one slide, and the guy at the top was having too much fun playing with his walkie talkies, that he didn't tell me how to go down. See I had never been on this particuliar ride, and nobody told me I was supposed to cross my legs and arms, and to hold my nose. WELL. I was going down 60 ft of SCREAMING TORTURE. The water was so fast and furious, that I realized if I had of lifted my head up, it might've gauged my eyes out! I kept coming up for air, but sadly I was in a giant tube. A giant BLUE tube. Everyone kept saying that if you went on that ride, you would get a wedgie. They weren't kidding, ouch!

I just watched "Prom Night. " Not such a good movie. I read some reviews, and they were saying that it was completely predictable. Not lying! It was so cliche in a lot of it's scenes. I don't know if it was just me, but I found completely useless for that guy to kill all those people just to get to one girl, I mean really. And what is more retarded is that he kills then pretty much in the same room.. Or hotel room, whatever, SAME FLOOR.

I just thought it was extremely useless, and anyone who got scared by that... PUH-LEEZ

The only scary thing in that movie is the acting.

Seriously one of the lines from the movie is:

"Michael is making me so darn mad. And on top of that I have killer cramps!"

How lame is that?

If you want to see something scary, I advise Horton Hears A Who; that simple Children's movie has more worth than that.

Que Paso!

Ha, Martin just told me that I am going in for the kill--ahh.

Freetime in BCIS = Free NotDoppler.com

That's right. I am at the school right now, and I decided to make a post. Considering that I haven't made one in a long time.

It was very odd yesterday. I got home at the normal time, and then I went to bed at around 5:45. It was so strange, because I wasn't really tired, but then my eyes started closing. So I decided to take just a LITTLE snooze.

I end up sleeping the whole afternoon, and night waking up at 4:00 a.m. How is this possible I ask? I have no earthly idea, but I have to say, I liked it.

Getting a full night AND an afternoon's worth a sleep. A+

JUST IN: Approximately 34 days left until freedom. Possible early release.

Seriously it's like a prison camp or something in here.
Not to mention only 127 days until the targeted date.

That day my friend will be THE day of personal freedom.

Talk about random. I just went digging around on this school computer, and this is what I found. A frying pan with some sunny-side up eggs in it. Yeaaaah.

We had this showdown today over Spanish words, and I won [Ha, surprise surprise] and I got this jumbo bag of rainbow twizzlers. Too bad I don't like twizzlers. I think I had that bag a grand total of 5 seconds before people came pouring in and attacked me. At first I had 35 pieces, and when all the grimy little hands finally made their way away from my bag, I was left with about 5 or 6.

WOW. They aren't that good, so I don't know what the big hallaballoo was all about.

Toledo

K, I so figured I would make a least ONE post while I was in the vacinity.

Ohio had a little rocky start, but then it got so much better today. The wedding and all it's intricacies were wonderful! I have a BIG family.

I probably have a lot os spelling mistakes in there, but I don't care. I have been awake for so long, and I am tired, and about to go to bed. I have a plane to catch tomorrow. Heading back to Texas!

Happy Dia De Los...

Uh, how do you say "Easter" in spanish?

Whoops.

So it's late and I wanted to write an Easter post. [Ok, so it isn't really that late, but I have to get up in 6 hours.]

I began my assignment: The completion of the book "1984." BORESVILLE. I can only hope it gets better in the future. Right now it just goes on and on about this guy's dictoritative daily life as a Record filer. BoO.

So Easter was great. I have a story to tell about this guy Kenny, but I don't have time right now.

Oh and there's one more thing. I don't believe in the easter bunny. I didn't see no easter bunny yesterday when I was up stuffing colorful plastic eggs with candy.

EASTER BUNNY = HOAX!

(>'.')><('.'<)

Hmm, there is another one of these, but I can't remember it.

You people that actually read this should be proud of me. I have done 2 in a row. That is a miracle in my eyes. Well it has come and gone. As soon as this week begins I will probably go back to my old ways. It's the circle of Life.

I Will Always Love You

Drastic day I must say. Being forced to do work against my will--and get this.. WITHOUT PAY! Some people say "Manual labor never hurt anyone!" but I think it's against my personal standards, doing work without pay. I guess it was for a good cause.

Wow, I feel like a foreigner.

It took me about 15 minutes to figure out the word "standards." I forgot it. I had to go ask my sister. Ha.

It was pretty horrible today. We saw this guy laying in the road. It was terrible. I called 911, and they said they already knew about it.. He looked like he had a motocycle accident. He was facedown in the road. It was terrible. Just like a dead animal--no joke.

I watched a couple of movies today. I watched "Animal House" today. There is this guy I know that is in love with this movie. I didn't know anything about it, but I figured I would watch it.

It seemed like one of those movies that are supposed to be popular, because they are super funny. But some parts were kinda gross, like the "WHAT AM I NOW? IM A PIMPLE! POP" yeah that made me gag.

I also watched a little big sweeter movie. A classic "Titanic" I haven't watched it in so long. I forgot some parts. It was sweet.

Of course pretty much the whole world has seen this movie, but it was on, and I was sitting down, so I watched it. It was good.. Kept me glued to the Tv.
Hmm.. Some movie.. Cold Mountain is randomly on. I don't know what this is about but. EASTER IS TOMORROW! I almost missed it though. I was supposed to go to Mexico with a friend, but there was a last minute change of plans. That is ok though. I have had a good Spring Break so far. It's over now though, but what ever.
DO you know what movie I want to see? I want to see "No country for Old men" really bad. I wonder if it is as good as they say it is.
You should have seen me earlier.. I was stuffing eggs. Lol. I felt like a full grown easter bunny.
So I recently figured out how to bust into .rar files. I felt so accomplished. But My poor computer. I don't know if it can take it. I got some converter called WinRar. It is just screaming virus at me.. but you know. I think it is doing well. Nice and safe. Like a warm blanket or something. I dont know.

Say What?

Well, today was random to the extreme.

It starts with me watching "How to Deal," and then going shopping. Not to mention that guy riding a unicycle through my neighborhood.

Say what?!

Purely the strange and unusual.

I am having the most difficult time trying to break in to this .rar file I got. It has the new cd "You and Me" on it, and I am pulling all sorts of things to get it open. Can't. Any ideas?

Well Easter Sunday is in a few days, and we are having some sort of Hallabaloo at my church, and EVERYONE is invited. Including YOU my faithful reader of this blog. Yes, and you are even allowed to Easter-egg hunt with the little 4-year olds.

I'm one of the people stuck hiding them. When I say them I mean the eggs..

MOAN.

When we went on our shopping rampage, I bought two new outfits and 2 darling pairs of shoes. All for a good cause of course. ME!

I got a nice little top for my brothers upcoming wedding, which is in 2 WEEKS! Wow, time flies. I remember when it was just put on the table!

And of course, I got a nice little easter outfit, although the colors are kind of dark and depressing.. I like it and that's all that matters right?

So there I was, laying face down on my bed when all of a sudden this thought popped into my head: "EDUCATION IS NEAR!"

AHH! Where did my Spring Break go?! I can't believe this is my last day of leisure! I want it back! I was robbed!

It went so fast, and I was too busy being lazy to take grasp of it.

I have to admit being a lazy bum is kinda fun. It sorta makes up for all those long hours and late nights studying the school-work of Satan.

I got this BlockBuster card from my friend's aunt. I wonder if it still works.

Say what?!

Rode-E-YO!

Yeehaw.

Went to the Houston Livestock and rodeo today. It was fun. We didn't stay long enough for the concert though. Some country singer Miranda Lambert.

I even got a video for you.

Yep, that was one of the first things we saw. It was interesting, and painful. Or so it seemed. Some people got hurt. I think that some of that stuff is dangerous, but they make so much money from it.

We went to IHOP for dinner, and I had a philly cheese steak sandwich. YUM.

What is this Spring Break going to be filled with?

Thanks for the day William.

Oh I love it

This, perhaps, could be the happiest day of my life...

--Why you ask? Because I went to the dentist..

Oh she went to the dentist, big woop. Oh yeah, it' is a BIG woop.

I got both sides of my mouth fixed, and a porcelain cap on the right. I am so happy about it. They have been giving me trouble for so long. If you click the tag that says "tooth," you will see a whole bunch of posts that were made concerning my teeth. ALL the way back to God knows when. I am just glad I got it taken care of, and not to mention virtually pain-free!

I made this video a few minutes ago, and I think it is really cute. Check it out...

Time to Leap

Well, I figured I would only be able to do this once in 4 years, so why not make a post on leap day. I just made one yesterday, and I am not used to making posts so frequently.

Depressing right?

What did I watch tonight?

G.I Jane: Kinda got boring, so I didn't finish that.

Sleepy Hollow: I have seen that one before, so I wasn't really surprised at all the fake blood.

Species: That one actually made me laugh; the thought of a large cocoon eating people.

Sixteen Candles: You know, the cliche teenager movie with the hot guy that everyone likes.

Spongebob to Atlantis: Nickolodeon special, what can I say?

The Matrix: It was on, but sadly the other viewers wanted to watch Reba.

Urban Legend: Kinda lame; I can't believe I sat through roughly 10 mins of it.

Did I just type that list in Alphabetical order? Sweet.

SO I'm done posting for today. I can't remember the last time I posted more than once in a week.

Thursday, February 28, 2008

Oh, Jeebus.

What? March?

What happened to February?

Lately I have been feeling extremely random and unorganized.. like right now, I and sitting in the back seat of a car with my laptop typing a post, not to mention a bag of Nacho Cheese flavored Doritos chips at my side.

What?

172 Days.

Earlier today I was watching "Enter the Dragon," Again.. I watch that movie a lot. Only because it is [in my opinion] one of the greatest movies ever made. Maybe not really, but I just love Bruce Lee.

It was randomly on, so I said "Por que no?"

A couple of friends and I put in "Operation: R.U.N," but it failed miserably; we couldn't even get halfway down the track without laughing our heads off.

What was so funny you ask?

It was just in the moment of running in slow motion to "Eye of the Tiger."

Ejercicio is good for the heart you know. Lately, I have been feeling like a couch-potato, and I figured I would gather some friends up, and do some evening running. It kinda sorta maybe worked out.

I have a slight addiction to the songs "Vincent" and "Ahora Quien." Amazing.

Schindler's List

Hmm, what is that day called, the day after Valentine's day?

The day after Valentine's Day?
Well, I didn't like today so much. It was awful. Lots of 'bad things..' and on top of that, I watched some really depressing war movies. Porque?

First was "Hotel Rwanda." I had heard that it was a good movie and it was on IMDB's top 250 movies as number 75, so I figured it had to be good. Sadly, I missed the first 8.3 minutes, so it was like trying to read brail or something.. it made no sense.

The plot, hmm, I usually talk about the plot. Well basicly, it's about this guy that owns a hotel in Rwanda. Yep. Actually it is a true story based from actual events in Africa in 1994. For some reason this reminds me so much of what happened in Somalia.. Maybe it's all the blood and machetes..

After that I saw an ad for "Schindler's List."

Depressing, Yes.

But informative. Also a yes.

This one I am watching in parts on youtube.. [I saw the other one on the telly.] I figured they had it.

I skipped through so much of it because when they have conversations, it is so boring. I just skip to the parts where there is some action. But oh. The exploding of the heads. That is just.. ugh, terrible. They kill innocent children and people, but then again, what's new? It's just horrific. I haven't watched all of it yet, but I am working on it.

Well this one was about a guy that owned a shop in Krafw, [ok, can't spell it] Poland? Germany.. whoops can't remember, but he owns a shop, and then he saves over 1,000 jews by getting them to work in his factory. Supposedly, he is a great icon in history or something. I have never heard of him. :/

St. Vinny

Ahh. Today is the day that brings joy to this month. I think almost every month has a holiday of some sort. Valentines day is among my favorite. It makes me smile.
THOUGHTS:
"Valentine's Day is an odd holiday. I'm not one to care for it too much. I think we end up putting to much value on the "togetherness" aspect of our lives. I think in some cases it could even make relationships worse as couples stress over what to get each other, trying to get the "perfect" thing for their partner.

I'm of the opinion that if you want to express your love to another, why wait for a particular day to do so? To me, sending me roses on a regular day for no particular reason would be much more well received than sending me roses on Valentine's Day. I think I end up questioning the motives of my partner giving me things -- does he feel obliged because it's Valentine's Day and society says that he should give something to me? If that's the case, then I would rather he not give me anything at all.

I don't want society to dictate to me when I should show affection to my partner and when he should show affection to me. My boy and I may do something nice for each other, like draw a bubble bath or cook, or give a massage or watch a movie together -- but we do these things on a normal basis anyways." -- Reishka

"Love is when you can't be apart from someone for too long...you're always thinking of them, and when you're with them you never want to say goodbye. Love is far from simple. It's quite complex. It's a mix of about everything. It's sadness, joy, passion, hatred, excitement, it's almost every feeling you can imagine and more. You know love when you find it, it's that person that when they smile it brightens up your day, you can't stop staring at them for fear of losing them, they're always on your mind, you daydream of being with them, even if they're less than 20 feet away...and you can't stand it when they're not with you, the worst feeling you could ever feel is when you know that person you love is not with you...you can't tell when love will happen, you just know when it does, that moment when you first lay eyes on that person, and you never want to look away...that is love. Nothing less. "

Too Much

Where have the days gone? I came to make a post, and I saw that the last one was on the 26th. Kinda a long time ago.

This week was--what was it? I don't know.

I have a big headache right now. It just popped up out of nowhere.

I am watching "Never Been Kissed" though. It is one of those movies-- you know the movies that everyone watches, and it becomes a popular love story. It's good.

It's about this woman, who is a loser in high school, and then she grows up to be a reporter, and then she gets assigned to a job as an undercover high school student, and she has to create a story about the lives of those students.

Long story short, she ends up falling in love with one of her teachers, and then they make out for like 30 minutes at the end.

It is good. I have seen it so many times. Even though I know what happens, I really am able to watch it over and over.

My head feels like a bowling ball right now.

Hmm, the presidential election. What is my opinion? I think that the people need to stop leaning on that whole "HILLARY-OBAMA" thing.

OMG! A FEMALE PRESIDENT AND AN AFRICAN AMERICAN!

It's the Apocolypse. My jeebus people.. I have to admit that I feel a little sorry for the other canidates. It's almost like that don't have a chance. I think this is turning more into a celebrity thing. That one guy--what was his name? John Edwards? He dropped out. [Did you know he has his own Wikipedia page?] Well anyway, he has this sad story about his son dying when he was 16 and his wife has cancer. Nobody seems to notice that. Oh, but Hillary and Obama are talking trash about each other.. Ooo, that's front page coverage!

In other news, my computer is officially on crack. This thing keeps crashing, yet it cannot pick up any problems. That dreaded blue screen comes up. Gah, it's so depressing.

Some call it, the "BSOD" or formally known as The Blue Screen of Death. I don't think I want to call it by that name. It sounds too--too negative. Got to think positive here, I have only had this computer for little over a year.

So, I have completed the first entry for February. Tomorrow, I am supposed to have a track session. I wonder if I still remember how to run? I haven't done that in a long time either.

Movie Day!

So I was sick today, and there was only one way to make up for it--Movies!

I don't just lay around all day often, but I got some sort of cold this weekend, and then it hit me full force Friday night; I spent Saturday morning/afternoon recovering. Of course I am all better now, but in the mean time, I watched some action.. [I also drank a ton of water. I hear that's good for you]

Hmm, I saw "Daredevil," which wasn't as good as it seemed, and wasn't as bad as it was criticized to be. I actually thought some parts were interesting.

I saw "Malibu's Most Wanted." Now about this movie, I didn't think it was so good the first time I saw it in the movie theatres a few years ago, but then I saw it again today, and it was pretty funny; dumb, but pretty funny.

Haha, oh, and last night I randomly ran across the sequel to "一リテルの涙” 「My gosh I haven't written in Japanese in so long, I don't even remember what I’m Doing」 But the show was in Japanese, and I watched the whole depressing series in the summer, and I loved it, and I found the sequel last night. I have to admit, I cried a little. Her lover went on the be a doctor, so he could find a cure for the disease that killed her. It is based on a true story too! "One Litre of Tears."

Man the whole thing is just. AGH. So sad. I couldn't help but watch it. The girl was only 15, when she found out she had a terminal illness. She had her life ahead of her... but that didn't stop it.

I saw "Bride and Prejudice" again, I think I watched it just to hear the song "Take me to Love," which I Love. My jeebus, it's an addictive song.

This is a good movie, not too popular, but good. I had no idea it was supposed to be a musical before I watched it, but I kinda caught on when they started dancing in the middle of the night and running through the house like it was a Barmitzvah.

I was feeling better at this point and I got up and did some things; later this evening, I watched "Spiderman 2" when I was eating dinner.

Ahh, I kinda got tired of this, and then left the room. I have seen all but the last Spiderman, so it wasn't anything new.

Then after that, it pretty much got bad, except for "Juno", which I watched the beginning of, but turned of.. (You can see the previous post for a picture of that one...)

Right now as I type, I watching "Batman Begins," which I'm glad it's about to go off, because it is BORE. I watched it all because I figured it will be good. It also is having a sequel coming out that stars the recently deceased Heath Ledger. You know, him dying is one of those things that you hear about, but you just don't believe. I mean, really, the guy was in his hey-day, and he was doing well. It's like "Heath Ledger is DEAD." That's so strange. When he died, everyone made a big 'Hallabaloo' about it, but they seemed to fail to mention the death of child star "Brad Renfro," who played in "The client," a movie I happened to like very much. He did just a week earlier. You didn't see his name all over the news.

I watched it a lot when I was younger, and I have always liked that movie; even though it is about a boy that find a dead body, and then gets threatened by the mafia to keep quiet about it. But other than that, its a SUPER movie. Haha.

I am thinking about changing my profile song, but I have no idea what to change it to. Any ideas?

I took this picture last night. Hmm, I was sick? Not bad for a stuffy nose.

Apologize

Apologize--Timbland & OneRepublic. Good song.

This is not the way to start off the new year. I admit, I have been feeling a little lazy with writing in this blog, and I want to change that. It's just a little hard because I have so many things to do.

But I love my blog.

In that last post that I failed to complete, I left out two other movies: "Juno" and "Palindromes"

They are complete opposites yet, they are related.

Juno was a super good movie. I was kinda skeptic about it at first. I didn't know what I wanted to see at the movies, and I was already there, so I just picked one out. I had heard someone talking about that movie, and I decided I wanted to see it for myself. It was either that or "Alvin and the Chipmunks."

It was about this teenage girl that was 16, and she got pregnant by her not official boyfriend. In fact, there weren't even dating. They just thought that would give it a try. She has this spunky attitude, that runs the movie, but in the end, **** [not going to ruin it.]

Now the other movie, the one that just ruined all movies for me, did not make any sense what-so-ever. I didn't get the plot or anything. It was just about this psycho path girl (Probably not really a pyscho path, but by the things she does in this movie, it really seems like she is.) that goes on a journey to have a baby. She thinks she is "destined" to get one. She is like 13!

Basiclly she just bangs a bunch of guys [Young and old.] and then waits to see what happens. Not to mention she meets a lot of companions a long the way. What a skank.

After I had seen this, I seriously thought this was the worst movie that I had ever seen. It had no point.

Well, in other things, January is almost over, and here comes February. I'm telling you...

Movie Day

Today was kinda full. I did a lot of things.

Got up fairly early; had to bake a lot of cookies.

I saw "Stardust." William brought it over and we watched it. He knew the words..

O_M_G!

It's already the first week in the new year. It feels so weird to say "2008" I think liked 2007. I already miss it!

It was terribly sad tonight; my last kitten was killed. The twin of the other one that was killed in November.

The weird thing about it was, that before we pulled into the driveway, I had this strange feeling that I was gonna see my cat dead, and guess what.. it happened. [How in the world did that happen?]

It was the strangest thing. Not even a minute later, I heard a gasp and there he was.. on the pavement.

I played detective for a short while after I got over the sight--it wasn't a bad sight I must say. No blood: the cat's eyes were open though.

Strange, no blood. Which means, it probably didn't have time to seep out yet, which means.. it was a fresh kill.

What if it happened at the exact same time as I was getting that feeling?

Psychic maybe?

Naah, it's nearly impossible.

I must mention though. I had a dream last night that one of my cats had a terrible accident, and their rib cage was ripped open, but.. they lived. It wasn't the kitten though. STRANGE.

Ok, well. It breaks my heart. I don't have anymore kittens. Just this old cat that I have had before I even lived in this house.

He is turning 3 in April.

This was taken a long time ago, possibly.. 2 years. He is not that cute anymore.

On the Rocks.

That was a fun night.

I haven't made a post in here since last year! (I know that was a lame joke.)

Didn't want to miss out on the first post of the year. I don't know what kind of feeling I am getting from 2008. It feels normal. I remember I thought that 2007 felt 'uncomfortable.' Then I got used to it.

My gaa--I can already see February. In a week from today it will already be the 8th. OMG THIS YEAR IS OVER ALREADY!

Just kidding. :D

Only 364 more days until we do this all over again.

Last one.

Happy New Year everyone!

Or at least New Years Eve. It's only 7 here. :)

I just wanted to put in a last post for this year. My little blog has done well..

See you in 2008!

Muscles

Aah, I did something healthy for once, and look what happens.

I woke up extremely sore this morning but.. it was for a good cause.

I WENT RUNNING.

Yes, yes, it's very hard to believe. It was supposed to be a joint effort, but my partner skipped out on me.

I cleaned so much.. I don't think I have ever cleaned so hard in my life. The sad part about all this cleaning is that it will probably not stay like this, considering my hectic life during the weekdays of school. Truely saddening.

Leaves me no time.

So I decided to clean it for now, and wait and see how long it lasts.

In the 2 day period I last made a post, I watched 4 MORE movies, but not all at once.

I remember it was required to read this book for a grade in elementary school. Then we watched the movie afterwards, and I really liked it. It is about this group of kids, who make up a sort of family together, but are also a part of a gang called the "Greasers." This movie has some actors in it that later became famous like, Ralph Macchio, Tom Cruise, and Patrick Swayze.

I think pretty much everyone knows about this movie. I wasn't going to watch it at first, but then.. I decided to. "This is my Jean-nay" I love that part. Was it me, or did that movie seem like it was extremely long?

This movie was great when I saw it as a little kid, and now. It's funny: I thought it was scary back then. To all those who don't know about this, it is about this couple that owns this huge house, and then later they are killed, and then this other family buys it. The thing is, the couple ends up haunting that house... I really like this movie, and I never realized it was by Tim Burton. I should have guessed considering he always has weirdo creepy themes to all his movies. Alec Baldwin was in this? Who would have known?

And today, I watched this one. I have seen it before too. It's so... I don't know. Makes you wonder how some things are possible. This one is about this guy (Johnny Depp) who is a writer, and then one day this weirdo hick shows up and says that he stole one of his storys and published it. Then the hick threatens him and stuff.. blah blah blah go watch it.

Wazzup

Turtle racing?

Rachel's favorite show. DUMB.

What did I miss? Oh Christmas!

It was good on this end. I had lots of fun with the family :) TOO much food, but that was all good. Everyone loved their presents.

This week was great. I really enjoyed staying home. Too bad this break is almost over. Not just this break, but the year as well. It's truely saddening.

I did something I haven't done in years. I watched a movie. In fact, I watched 4 movies. :D

Ooo, Sleepy Hollow. It was so predictable. Even though I have never seen this before. The whole "chopping of the heads" thing was too fake. The story is a classic though.

Hmm, this movie was ok. It just came on, I wasn't interested at first but then it got better. About some assassin guy that hunts humans, and then runs from the FBI, predictable.

I have seen this one before. It is so twisted. The worst thing about this movie was that annoying lisp Detective Grahm had in this movie. Little weird, and psychotic, but it was ok.

Very cute movie. A little late for Christmas though, but it was good. About this elf, well human, that was raised by elves, and he thinks he's an elf, and then he goes to New York city. Classic.

[Excellent!]

Twas the night before Christmas, and all through th--oh wait.. Christmas is here. Nevermind.

That's right, I said it. Christmas is here. So you know what that means. Only 6 more days left in this year. I really sad you know. I can't believe it went by so fast.

Sucks because I was up late last night doing some cleaning before today. I would say at least until 2:30 a.m. I didn't hear Santa. Maybe he was running late...

My family was so good to me this year. Seriously, you should see the loot.

It's so cold today. BUT-no snow. I regret living here sometimes. It is always hot year-around, and...andd umm.. That's it. I love everything else :D

I put the title that because about a month ago, I watched a classic movie called "Bill and Ted's Excellent Adventure."

It was fularious. <--- IS this a word?

Man, I love Christmas. I love the unity around the world. Makes me smile :)

MERRY CHRISTMAS EVERYONE!

Long Time.

Oh Where has the time gone?

I haven't posted in so long, I figured I would do so today.

I finished my Christmas shopping today--Good job Leah, 3 days before Christmas.

In this past two weeks, I can't really recall what all happened except, wait.. Oh nope, I can't remember.

Let's see...

Gymnastics Tuesday. Wait, that's every Tuesday.
Holiday Break. Oh that means no school. Score.
Exam Week. Boring as ever.
Spanish Party. Club party at the "Jimador." It was amazing.

I can't think of anything. I took some pictures around the tree tonight. I was feeling a little artistic.

This is a little different I guess. There is a big candy cane in the way. Dia says it looks like I chopped my head off, and took a picture under the tree of it. Does anybody really know what Christmas is really about? This year is almost out, and I doubt that anybody realized how fast it went. I can't believe it myself.

That Jaime-lynn girl got knocked up. SAD. I read this news article about Nickolodeon trying to promote a show about abstinance and safe sex. Considering she was one of their biggest stars, and she ruined her career. You know, She's gonna keep the baby. I hope she is nothing like her sister.

What is Christmas?

Christmas is an annual holiday that celebrates the birth of Jesus. The date of the celebration is traditional, and is not considered to be his actual date of birth. Christmas festivities often combine the commemoration of Jesus' birth with various secular customs, many of which have been influenced by earlier winter festivals.

In most places around the world, Christmas Day is celebrated on December 25. Christmas Eve is the preceding day, December 24.

Silver Caps

Wow, my last post was... 4 days ago?

I went to All American tonight, and I was feeling LAY ZEE. I wasn't the only one either.

I went to the dentist yesterday, expecting to FINALLY get that root canal. You know what they did? They took of my silver cap I got last time, and then they looked at the tooth, and put the cap back! It was such a waste of time. I guess I should be happy because my jaw would have been swollen, and I had to sing at a talent show audition today.

Some big thing that is going to be a year from last Monday--the 10th. If I am chosen, I am going to be going to Dallas.

I admit, even though I live in Texas, I have never been to Dallas.

What Are Your Thoughts?

Foreign Exchange

Q: Would you ever like to be an exchange student?

A: I think that would be one of the most fascinating things I would do. Travel has always interest to me.

What Are Your Thoughs?

Issue 1:
L.O.V.E
EXTENDED VERSION!

Pastel's Views:

Q: Do you believe in love at first sight?
A: NO. That isn't called love; love is a feeling that you can achive. First sight is only hormones, sex and like.

Q: How do you achieve love?
A: Through talk, spending time together, and having fun. When both feel something buzz in the air and they can talk just about anything; there are no secrets.

Q: How do you know it's love for sure?
A: You can't just know for sure. You can only hope it is and will never run away. People have to protect love, because it can be easily broken.

What Are Your Thoughts?

I don't Issue 1:
Issue 1L.O.V.E

Leah's Views:

"I was listening to this really sad romantic music and then I thought about what I was told the other day about 'love at first sight.' Many people don't believe in it you know and some do."

Q: Do you believe in love at first sight?

A: "Well I think that is a hard question. There are so many different kinds of love, but only one true love. For me, I think that you can be attracted to someone at first, but then fall in love later; it is not a planned thing it happens unexpected and you feel like your life has been taken over, and you don't know what move to make next. It's hard to think about other things, and that's how you know you are supposed to spend the rest of your life with that person. 'First sight' kinda doesnt' exist. Maybe not for true love, but maybe for lust. When you are in love with someone, it is like a big picture; you can't see anything else."

Dia's Views:

Q: Do you believe in Love at First Sight?

A:
"I believe in love at first sight. I believe love is the closest thing we have to magic, so we should cherish it forever. I believe there is nothing better than love; waking up and having a 'reason' to live. To feel full, together, one. To feel happy with yourself and the world around you. To want to share your joy that your special someone makes u feel. I don't know, I just think it's awesome. There is nothing like it. Being with them. I don't know. Love is just something you can't live without. It's necessary. You're just not full. You need it; it's essential. "
